Peerapat Chokesuwattanaskul, Ph.D.
August 30, 2018Dr. Chokesuwattanaskul is a multidisciplinary scholar with extensive experience in research and teaching on both the procedural and technical aspects of law and policy. He obtained a Ph.D. in Developmental Economics from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. His current research establishes a new way to consider the relationship between export cartels and economic development through the use of historical analysis and game theory models. He aims to debunk the myth about export cartels from developing countries, whereby cartels are stigmatized and prohibited by academics as well as international organizations. His research proposes that export cartels from developing countries could be selectively used to promote economic development. Dr. Chokesuwattanaskul has lectured on economics and game theory, as well as supervised graduate students in economics, political science, management, and engineering at the University of Cambridge.
