Anongrath Konglarp
May 14, 2019Ms.Konglarp, a Presiding Judge of the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court, earned her Master of Laws degree in International and Comparative Law from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, USA. She also obtained certificates of participation in various programs such as Intellectual Property and International Trade Law from Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Switzerland, and Restorative Justice from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. With 20 years of judicial experience, she has recognized that one of the critical legal problems is that the right of crime victims is neglected as the concept of Criminal Justice generally treats the accused or the wrongdoer as the main focus of each case. As a result, the criminal system tends to pay attention to protecting the right of the wrongdoers rather than that of the victims. Apart from her career, she has also been the sub-committee member for driving task force on the United Nations Model Strategies and Practical Measures on the Elimination of Violence against Children in the Field of Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the Court of Justice, for the past 4 years.
