Attasit Pankaew
May 14, 2019Assistant Professor Pankaew is an Assistant to the Rector for Corporate Communications, Department of Political Science at Thammasat University, Thailand. He earned his Ph.D. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from Georgia State University, USA. In 2010, he was a project manager and a lead researcher at Thailand Political Database (TPD), where he participated in the drafting of Thailand’s Political Development Plan. He attempted to highlight the importance of fact-based political solutions which, in turn, enhances transparency. As a political scientist and a university lecturer, Asst.Prof.Pankaew initiated several research projects with ‘political openness through information accessibility’ as the overarching theme. He currently shifts his research interest toward the utilization of big data in political research to enhance people’s political awareness and drive a policy change to cope with the digital future.
