Mariyam Zulfa
May 14, 2019Dr.Zulfa is the former Minister of Tourism Arts and Culture, Republic of Maldives from 2010 to 2012, appointed by President Mohamed Nasheed. She was in charge of overall management of the Ministry of Tourism including administrative as well as policy-making duties and advising the President on all matters related to Tourism, Arts & Culture in the Maldives. Since 2012, she has been the Director at Faraway Maldives Pty Ltd. responsible for developing strategic plans, supporting future planning and implementation, and providing legal advice to the Board. Dr.Zulfa, a commercial lawyer and a business owner, completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Curtin University in Australia, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Victoria College of Law in Melbourne, a Master of Public and International Law from University of Melbourne, MBA from Waikato University in New Zealand, an LL.B. from University of Western Australia, and a B.A. in Urban & Regional Planning from University of South Australia.
