Shuxi Yin
May 14, 2019Dr.Yin holds his Ph.D. in Economics from University of Tuebingen, Germany, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, and a doubled Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Economics from Peking University, China. Dr. Yin has been working as an Assistant to Bureau Director, Hefei City Bureau for Civil Affairs since 2016. Recently, he works on poverty relief in vulnerable natural environment at grassroots level along the Yangtze River, in the backdrop of China’s national campaign to eliminate absolute poverty by 2020. Having studied abroad, and particularly after growing up in China, he is strongly aware of the importance of poverty reduction and environmental protection. He is also a former assistant to the Bureau Director at the Guangzhou City Bureau of Environmental Protection and an associate director of the Environmental NGO Green Cross in China. Dr.Yin has attended various courses such as Hague Academy for Local Governance Fellowship in 2017, Asian Leaders Fellowship Program (ALFP), Tokyo in 2016, German Research Foundation (DFG) Fellowship, 2010-2013, and Abby and George O’Neill Fellowship of Harvard University in 2009.
