Wipawin Promboon
May 14, 2019Dr.Promboon is currently a Deputy Director of the Regulatory Policy Department at the Bank of Thailand (BOT), responsible for supervising the formulation and review of regulatory policies relating to banks’ corporate governance, liquidity and market risk management, and derivatives and driving the integration of regulatory impact analysis into regulatory policy formulation and review process. With over a decade of experience at BOT, she has been rotated to several departments including financial markets, banking supervision, and office of corporate strategy, where she had an opportunity to work on various cross-functional policy initiatives. Apart from her career,Dr. Promboon is also a university lecturer on Business Finance and Risk Management in Financial Institutions. Dr. Promboon received a Bank of Thailand Scholarship to study in the United States, where she received her MBA in Finance from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a PhD in Finance from Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (First Class Honors) from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
