May 14, 2019Mr.Win is currently a Deputy Director of Market Supervision and Surveillance Department, Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar. At present, he and his team are preparing to set up procedures for taking care of investigating and prosecuting unfair trading and market manipulation. Prior to his current position, he was a Deputy Director of Fiscal Policy, Strategy and EITI Division, Budget Department, Ministry of Planning and Finance in Myanmar for 3 years. After he joined Ministry of Planning and Finance in 2012, he became interested in investigation of surveillance activities in securities market. At that time there was no securities and exchange commission and even securities exchange law in Myanmar. Mr. Win holds a Master and a Bachelor of Economics from Yangon Institute of Economics in Myanmar. Apart from his career, he has been a freelance writer and has published over 20 articles in various local magazines and newspaper since 2000.
